Known as “The Literary Lion,” Peter Miller has been an extraordinarily active literary and film manager for more than thirty years. He is President of PMA Literary and Film Management, Inc. and Millennium Lion, Inc.; he and his companies have successfully managed more than 1,000 books worldwide, as well as dozens of motion picture and television properties. These works include eleven New York Times Bestsellers, and fourteen produced films that Miller has managed or executive produced. Three of those films have been nominated for Emmy Awards: Goodbye, Miss Fourth of July (The Disney Channel, with four nominations); A Gift of Love (Showtime, two nominations); and Helter Skelter (CBS, one nomination). Miller has now created a lecture for Media Services to teach authors and screenwriters interested in the film and television businesses how to develop their careers and be successful in the publishing, motion picture, cable and television industries; with a specific focus focusing on the metamorphosis of a book to a film.
The lectures will cover:
- Sage advice on whether to continue or discontinue with a project(s).
- How to maximize the potential of your project(s) and 8n project(s) and 8n career.
- How to transcend from fiction writing to non-fiction writing and/or do both.
- How to design your book(s), articles, treatments or true-life stories so there is a greater potential for motion picture, cable or television productions.
- How to choose projects that have global marketing potential.
- How to build a platform even if you’re not famous.
- How to pursue getting quotes, introductions, prefaces, or forwards from famous authors or well-known celebrities to endorse your work.
- How to choose subjects that are more secure and saleable as film and television productions.

Peter Miller has been a literary and film manager for more than 30 years. He has represented more than 1,000 books, including eleven New York Times bestsellers. In addition, his company has had fourteen movies produced that he either managed, developed or executive produced and currently has some twenty film and television projects in development. As a producer, he has been nominated for two Emmy Awards and three of the films he has produced have been nominated for Emmys.
Based in New York, Peter Miller, President of PMA, has established contacts nationally and internationally with publishers, writers, writers’ groups and the media. Mr. Miller visits Los Angeles regularly and stays in close contact with studio, network, cable and film production company executives as well as with West Coast-based agents, managers, screenwriters and directors.
PMA’s sister corporation, Millennium Lion, Inc., is also headed by Peter Miller. Millennium Lion, Inc. is a production entity that coordinates the submission of all potential film properties to television networks, studios and film production companies.
